Magic – In the Betwixt and Between with the Help of the Unseen
A Zoom talk with Andrew Steed
Andrew Steed is a self-employed shamanic teacher, storyteller and inspirational speaker who celebrates his 30th anniversary of stepping onto this pathway next year, his 63rd on the planet.
Andrew has studied with First Nation’s teachers on the Red Road while living Stateside for 17 years, which ultimately brought him home to his roots and the Green Road medicine of the British Isles and Ireland. He trained with Tom Cowan Stateside, who gave him a foundation to open the doorway to the stories and medicine of these Isles.
He began leading pilgrimages in 1999, and this year celebrated leading his 80th pilgrimage on Skye and his 81st on Iona. He lists the land as his greatest teacher. One pilgrimage will shape someone’s life, so imagine how leading 81 pilgrimages have shaped Andrew’s life.
Andrew has presented as part of the Sounds True Network; he has facilitated spiritual retreats in ten countries worldwide. He is an author of 9 books and is currently working on his tenth to be released in the autumn of 2026.
He has taught two and three year ‘Celtic’ Shamanic Practitioners trainings in the USA, Canada and the UK, and three year ‘Celtic’ Shamanic Teacher trainings in the USA and UK. He currently has openings for a maximum of 8 students to join him on a 2-Year Practitioners Training which will take place both online and on the land in Scotland starting in 2026.
Andrew is a free spirit who has a deep connection to the land and the unseen beings. He is one of the world leaders of the Wild Hunt, the indigenous backbone of a ‘Celtic’ medicine way, he leads Visionary Hope Fires, some for 13-hours through the night.
Andrew is excited to be sharing parts of his story with us.
